The Island Grill

The Dhoni
This traditional and contemporary recreational living room area in the Maldives is an architectural masterpiece, and the most unique and impressive visual feature of the resort when arriving onto the island. Built by local Dhoni (fishing boat) builders from a nearby atoll, the design of the roof sheltering this magnificent structure is an enormous upturned Dhoni. Comfortable sofas and stylish chairs set upon a white sand floor make this the ideal hideaway spot to spend the day playing board games, reading a book or listening to music.
